We were visiting and we love dive bars, so we tried this place. It was everything a dive bar should be; cash only, great bartender who knew a lot about the area, and regulars! Great drinks at great prices.

Is it Old Oregon Saloon or Old Oregon Tavern? Either way, it's a cash only dive in Lincoln City with solid food, a decent beer selection, and wifi. Food was cheap and delicious. The BLT is large is about five dollars. A few wacky locals when we went but the bartender (Cody?) was nice and had it under control. WiFi Password: oldoregon

Sorry but I'm going to do a review without actually going to this place. They lost the chance at my business (yes, just because of one little thing) due to the guy that answered the phone when our group called to see if this place had Pac12 network. He had no clue if they were showing what we wanted to see nor did he know if they even had the Pac12 channel. It bothers me when bar/restaurant workers don't know anything about their menu, the channels they get or even what TV system they have. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood or I was just disappointed because I wanted to try this place. Every time I come to the beach I see this bar. Maybe next time I'll just want to drink and won't care about the tv.

We've been here three times and haven't been disappointed once. Amy provides fast service and always done with a smile. She also cooks a great burger.

It's a dive bar.. Translation: the locals love this place and even on a Saturday afternoon it's slammed. All the tables were taken, and the bar is loud! It's the best people watching place in town bar none. Drinks are cheap, and the motif is early hippy mixed with metal head..

It's a dive. It rocks. Looks and feels like a local hang out. An owner? Long time employee?? Someone name Kentucky Thunder was having a birthday party that night and they were decking the old place in purple balloons, tie-dye, and UV reactive fun! They encouraged us to return that night and we wanted to, but we were staying in Newport. Too far to walk after partying =) The food is extremely cheap. Ya get what you pay for, but damn, I love me some tots and tenders with an ale. My friend had two glasses of wine, I had two craft beers (yep....they have'em), and we shared tots and tenders.....less than $20!!! Go! Enjoy!

One of our favorite bars of all time. We visit Lincoln City for a few days each fall (November) and one of the reasons is this place (along with the beach, etc, etc.). The bar tenders are really friendly, especially Bart, and the ambience is, well, a dive bar. What more can you say. The Sunday afternoon jam sessions are often the high point for us - should not be missed.

I'm a sucker for bars that have a distinctive character built up by years of patronage. Old Oregon Tavern has that in spades. I popped in there looking for a chill place to find a late dinner after a concert at the casino. The gal behind the bar was quick with a smile, heavy on the pour and a pro at the grill. My wife and I ordered cheeseburgers which came with tater tots and all the fixins, complimented by two pints of Fat Tire served in iced down glasses. The Old Oregon Tavern has a great tap selection with a mix of good microbrews and a few standards. while we were there the two pool tables and pinball machines sat empty but the two other patrons had the jukebox rockin'. Highly recommended if you're looking for a straightforward, friendly dive to hang out in.

Cleaner than any dive I've been to. I'd actually eat the food they make and while I was there, many did. Fancy big screen plasmas show cheezy b movies and the decor does not disappoint. Alien blow up doll sitting on a PBR lamp next to a "tasteful" nude oil painting, anyone? Not too many folks here on a Summer Tuesday night and that bummed me out, as I wanted to mingle with the lokes. I enjoyed paying $10 for 3 wells and the option to pass the time with pool and pinball. Maxwell's across the street had a dance floor with strobe lighting if you wanted to pair this with a more active night on the town...

A classic dive bar in central Lincoln City. Decent draft beer selection, including Dead Guy. They have a $3.50 bloody marys on Sundays, with the second one free, special. Haven't had the food, but it looks decent. Typical bar food selection. Good jukebox song selection, including a bunch of metal like Danzig and Megadeth. Basically the counterpoint to Maxwell's in this area.
